Purdue loses to Central Michigan

badly, 75-62. CM was 2-5 heading in to the game. Probably not a good idea to schedule a game the day after playing ND. Still, this is a bad loss.

Bit more on Central Michigan - in looking at the Chippewas official site, I see that 5th year coach Sue Guevara (former Michigan Head Coach) has been doing a nice job there in turning the program around. Her record at CMU so far:

2007-08....6-23
2008-09....18-14
2009-10....12-18
2010-11....20-11

Last year, the Chippewas upset then-No. 23 Louisville.

So far this year, CMU is 3-5 but two games were overtime, a loss to USF (80-86) and a win over Alaska-Anchorage (90-84), a team that beat Syracuse a couple years ago. None of their losses have been by more than 9 points. Sounds like a team that could give an opponent a tough game if the other guys aren't prepared.
