Those are the combined ages of each coaching staff's HC, OC and DC.

I thought this was a young man's game? You would be hard pressed to find older coaching staffs anywhere else.

Has PSU won the B1G in the past 10 years or finished the season rated in the top 10 during the same period? Honest question.

One would think with their talent they'd be having great seasons every year. Could age be a factor?

I personally have no issue with the age of our coaching staff (part of this may be due to the superiority our men's basketball staff demonstrated durning this past tournament) but I am a bit puzzled by some of the deployment. Our LB coach was an offensive grad assistant who from what I understand had zero defensive experience as a player or coach and our RB's coach played LB in the NFL and prior to this year has only been an LB coach or DB coach.

I understand Pasqualoni wanting to get someone he thought highly of (White) on the staff and putting a couple of square pegs in round holes (White & Wholley) to avoid canning someone who he barely knew and was loyal to the program. I do believe however that one or two coaching changes will be made this offseason. One that concerns me is if DeLeone is as philosophically removed from what Foley has taught over the years as things seem, we may end up losing arguably our best assistant over the past half decade (and in the process downgrade that position.

They shared the Big Ten title with Ohio State in 2005 and 2008, won the 2006 Orange Bowl as Big Ten BCS rep against Florida State (Paterno vs. Bowden; old guy vs. old guy). Finished #3 that year.

PSU's coaching is really bad. But to answer your question, yet they won it twice, and three times in 12 years.
They were top 10 in 2005, 2008, 2009.
But, that doesn't mean their coaching wasn't exactly awful in those years. They did have better quarterbacking.
