He took the ball to the hoop. He was stripped twice and fouled twice. He gets it and I hope he keeps taking it aggressively to the hoop. He was a forced tonight and two strips and a couple turnovers doesn’t tarnish one bit all he did tonight.

He’s locked in on being aggressive towards the rim now and I love it. Seems like it’s clicking for him.

11, 8, and 9 on 3-4 shooting 1-2 from three 4-6 from the FT line.

That’s an ideal game for him.
This exactly. As long as he sticks to what he does best and keeps his focus UConn will be very good.

Two more years or one more year and a favorable draft analysis.

He is playing SO much better……and whaddya know, so is the team. With THIS Andre, we are dangerous. Glad he figured it out
The coaches are generally putting Andre more in positions and schemes that match his talents. When Andre is 25 feet from the basket, it is usually because the play calls for it. So in a sense the coaches have made some progress but need to achieve even more,

Think an off-season after learning how he needs to play can do wonders for him. This is the first year he’s really had the room to figure that out.

Not only is this not out of the realm of possibility, I think it’s the probable result. He certainly needs to improve his shot, but he has all of the other requisite skills to be an impact player at the next level, whether in the NBA or Europe. He will make lots of dinero somewhere.

Enjoy him while he's here.. Another productive summer of focused skill development and positive NBA feedback through camps/scouts.. Predict he will be advised to move on after next year.. Make the shot serviceable.. And he's good to go..

Let's keep our eyes on the prize this year.. A lot of BB left to play.

And that's the key word, serviceable. He doesn't need to shoot like Jordan Hawkins. As long as he shoots it well enough to keep the defense honest at the next level whether it's NBA or high level league in Europe, it will only widen the passing lanes for his great passing and great court vision. We all know his rebounding is great and his defense is very good, too, well when he is focused and dialed in it's very good.

For this season, if he continues taking the ball to the basket at select times, even if his outside shot doesn't improve all that much, it's going to do wonders for UConn, in fact we are all seeing it now. As long he picks his spots to drive to the basket to score and shoot the 3 he will continue to be effective.

As I have posted before he should take one three each half. He did that last night and shot 50%. He just needs to shoot enough threes to have a confident stroke. It's also very demoralizing to the opposition when they go down.

Most of the credit for his recent scoring success belongs to Hurley changing the scheme. But even when he wasn't scoring he was rebounding, setting up his teammates and playing good defense.
