Proper Game Watching Etiquette

I’ll admit it helped last night thinking about all you other maniacs also switching sides of the couch when it was going bad

I switched from normal watching spot on the couch to a chair at halftime of the UCLA game. Looks like I have a new game seat.

That really hit home.
I had that same kind of UConn bond with my brother. We lived and breathed UConn hoops talking about the team all year long, breaking down games, looking ahead, reliving moments. And the games we went to together, just different. So much energy, so much spirited moments, those are memories I’ll always hold onto.
My brother had Parkinson’s, and over time things changed, and eventually we lost him. I still watch the games with family and friends and enjoy it, but truthfully, it’s never been the same.
So yeah, like @CL82 said, enjoy it while you can. That time, those conversations, those shared moments… they mean everything.
Thanks for sharing that. Im sorry that you lost him and that you can't share that anymore. You clearly had a strong bond. We all know, It's more than just a game.

I legit haven’t enjoyed watching a UConn game won’t people since March 29, 1999. On that day, I thought I would be great to pack my dorm room with all the peoples to watch our first natty. Within 4 minutes, I wanted to stab every person in that room for not shutting up, not understanding basketball, and blocking the way to my beer fridge.

I used to go ape$hit watching the games, yelling and screaming and playing defense, etc. it freaked my ex out something fierce. I’m much calmer now, but will not watch a game with other people.
