Aside from the defensive push and the Nike logo, name one thing in this picture that screams big time college football.

Well, certainly not the helmets.

I actually don't mind the helmet (disclaimer: I live in jacksonville. So any helmet painted somewhat right looks ok to me) but what was wrong with the block C?

It's going to be long two, weeks if were going to have to read things like this every day.

I agree, Noey. But you read it.

Throw in an undersized QB with a bad arm angle, fans dressed up as concrete and you'll see why we're closer to FCS than FBS.

Watching on TV, I agree the helmets are bad. You can't see what the heck the eyes are supposed to be. If you're a casual fan, you're like, why are there two ripped blue socks on the helmet? BAD stuff.

The logo kind of looks like the graphic in my textbook of a uterus. Freud would have had a great time with whoever designed the logo.

They cannot even get the helmet thing right. Wearing the white at home (and this is supposedly primary, with blue worn only on special occasions?) is a fail. Blue looks better.

Thanks a lot for spilling the beans.

It was supposed to be a subliminal message, designed to attract the attention of HS aged boys (to use as a recruiting advantage) while also, during games distract our opponents, giving us a tactical advantage.

Now the cat is out of the bag......

apparently not enough

That's the point, no? You suit up some people as clowns and...

Besides, the uniforms matter to recruits.

One of the Indiana players passed out when he saw the candy-stripe helmets.

Yeah, well apparently the subliminal message is "we're screwed" because I've been thinking that every since Thursday's game.

That message isn't subliminal. It is very overt in fact.

So we hired a helmet designer who thought our customer base viewed our games from the Goodyear Blimp?

I have to say I didn't mind the helmets during the game. Game play, well that was a different story.

From the stands, the entire uniforms (helmets included, and I was initially outraged when I first saw the new helmets) looked like PSU with a makeover. I didn't mind them at all. If this becomes our biggest complaint I will be thrilled.
