For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 10th game of the season at Southern California who are currently 7-2 with losses to South Carolina 52-69 and Notre Dame 59-61. Their wins are against New Mexico St 87-48NC State 69-68, Portland 78-51, TN Tech 85-44, Pepperdine 82-52, St Mary’s 79-33 and Washington 59-50. This game will be completely different from last year’s game. If UConn plays like they have so far this season with both the defense and offense USC will not score more than 70 points. UConn is currently averaging 91 points a game while keeping their opposition to 52 points. While USC averages 72 points a game while giving up 51 points. UConn has too many weapons both on the floor and on the bench for USC to be able to keep up. In their games against ranked teams their averages were Field Goal 38.5%, 3point 31% and Free Throw 63.25%. Their percentages will most likely be worse against the best defense in the nation.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 5:15 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on FOX.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or USC/Trojans. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will limit USC’s scoring with their lock down defense and this game won’t be close. UConn will play at least 10 of the available players, and everyone will score. UConn 95 – Trojans 64.
