For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays 34-2 UCLA Bruins the Top #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in the late Final Four game in the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL. Bruins are coming off a 72-65 win over LSU in their Elite Eight victory Sunday night in Spokane, so they have an extra day’s rest on the Huskies. The Huskies have a 5-1 record against the Bruins with their first meeting being an 86-50 win on 12/21/14 in the Naismith HOF at the Mohegan Sun. On 3/25/17 in the Bridgeport Regional UConn won 86-71. Later that year on 11/21/17 in Pauley Pavilion they won 78-60. In the Albany Regional on 3/29/19 UConn won in their closet win against the Bruins 69-61. In the Never Forget Tribute Classic in Newark N.J. they defeated UCLA 71-61. Their only loss was at the Cayman Islands 67-78 on 11/24/23. With the way that UConn has been playing in the NCAA Tournament they are considered the team to beat, and I do believe that they will get past the Bruins. UConn and UCLA have played against the same teams this season five times, the teams are Louisville, USC, Creighton, South Carolina and Ole Miss. Against Louisville UCLA won in Paris 66-59, UConn beat them in the Champions Classic 85-52. Against USC the Bruins lost the first two games, at USC 71-60 and home 80-67, they won in the Big 10 Championship game 72-67. UConn lost the first USC game at home 72-70 and won in the Elite Eight 78-64. UCLA beat Creighton on home court 70-41 while UConn swept Creighton, on the road 72-61, at home 72-53 and in the Big East Final 70-50. Both teams beat South Carolina, UCLA at home 77-62, UConn in South Carolina 87-58. Both played Ole Miss on neutral courts with both winning. UCLA 76-62 and UConn 73-60. UCLA is averaging 79 points per game while allowing 60 points per game. UConn is averaging 88.5 points per game and allowing 53.5 points per game.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 8:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted.

- This game will be close, but I believe that UConn will come out on Top, they have a more diverse team with more scorers than UCLA. Huskies 87 – Bruins 77.
