Let the massacre begin, the Husky vs a Catamount, most people would say the Catamount wins, but not in basketball. UConn has the edge on this one and it's huge. Vermont barley won against Albany to win the America East. They are ranked per Massey at 179, that's 36 below Butler and 31 above Xavier. With the way UConn played in the Big East Tournament they will be able to have all ten players get some minutes and still walk away with a 60+ point win. All 5 starters will play 30 minutes or less, Azzi and Caroline gets approx 20 minutes each, and the remaining 3 get what's left, maybe more. Aaliyah, Dorka, Aubrey, and Nika each have Double-Doubles, while Lou, Azzi, and Caroline combine for 20+ made three pointers. UConn 108 - Vermont 44.

All prognostications or any changes must state the winner of the game, i.e.
UConn or Vermont, not the good guys or our team, Huskies or Catamounts can be used. Any changes to the original prognostication must state that it is a change, with the winning team named, and must have the original thread number included. If a change is accepted you will receive a "Like" showing that it has been changed. All prognostication's and any changes must be submitted NLT 2:45 P.M. Eastern, any submissions after the deadline WILL NOT be counted. Attached is the Prognosticator's Predictions Rules and Scoring System Tournament edition, please read them. The game is on ABC,
and Good Luck to all you Prognosticator's out there. Appologize for the late posting, had some family obligations come up earlier today.

Only because the starters only play for 25 minutes...

I'm not convinced that the offense is hitting on all cylinder's yet. Also margin of victory will allow bench players that carried us during injuries to get some NCAA experience...

As Mark Twain always said, if you don't like the weather in NE just wait 5 minutes.

A well rested Husky team with 10 healthy players will make easy work of the Catamounts.

UConn 82 - Vermont 49

UConn 82-45 Mov 37 I expect to see Ines, Ayanna and Amari for 10 minutes each...possibly more.

This "should" be a tune up for the Sweet 16. If the team comes out focused and efficient, Geno may give the bench some significant minutes. He has typically shortened the roster for the big show. He may be more cautious with his starters this year so the bench may play more if he is satisfied with what he sees from the core 7, so the MOV may be less than expected.

UConn 88, Vermont 50.
