For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 6th game of the season against Utah Utes of the Big 12 in Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase 2:30 PM at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. This will be the first time these two teams have ever met, Utah is currently rated #37 by Massey. The Utes are currently 3-2 with wins against Div II Sioux Falls 88-62, at Utah State 90-53, Utah Valley 75-52 and losses to Washington 61-72 and Syracuse 49-61. At the time of the games Massey had Utah State at #259, Utah Valley at #156, Washington at #40 and Syracuse #59. As a team they average 72.6 points, 38.4 rebounds, 18.6 assists, 6 steals, 3 blocks, 19.2 t/o’s, shoot 47.1%, make 74.6% free throws and hits 37.8% from behind the line. UConn currently averages 90.8 points, 42 rebounds, 23.5 assists, 15.5 steals. 5 blocks, 12.3 t/o’s, shoots 50.2%, 86.8% free throws and hits 33.3% from behind the line. Utah’s SoS is at #128 vs UConn’s SoS is at #3 according to Massey. Geno will push this team to play all 4 quarters not just the first half, in a way I feel sorry for the Utes.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 2:15 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on FS1.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Utah/Utes. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. If prior to the closing of the Prognosticator’s Predictions, you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will come out this game and limit Utah to their lowest game points so for this season, this game won’t be close. UConn will play all available players, and everyone will score. UConn 95 – Utah 45.
