For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 30th game of the season against Georgetown in Hartford on 2/26 at 7:00 PM ET. UConn played the Hoyas on 1/22 at CareFirst Arena, winning 87-41. The Hoyas are 13-14 and 6-12 in the Big East currently in 8th place. Are 2-6 since they last played the Huskies, with wins at Xavier 65-52 and at St John’s 62-60. Their losses were vs Seton Hall 52-58, vs Marquette 59-67, at Creighton 62-64, at Villanova 55-67, vs Providence 54-59 and vs Butler 58-66. UConn only shot 28% in their 3-pt shooting 8-29, was out rebounded 36-32 and had more personal fouls 16-11 and still won by 41 points. I see a better game against the Hoya’s with better rebounding and 3-pt shooting. Massey currently has Georgetown rated #101 and has the Huskies with a 100%-win probability and a score of 86-41. In Conference play the Hoyas are averaging 64.3 points while allowing 61. While UConn is averaging 89.1 while allowing 51.2.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 6:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on TNT/truTV.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Georgetown/Hoyas. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post once it's been posted. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will limit Georgetown below their scoring average and continue their unbeaten streak to this game won’t be close. UConn will play all available players, and hopefully everyone will score. UConn 90 – Hoyas 45.
