For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 29th game of the season against Providence at Gampel Pavilion, Noon 2/22. Their previous match up on New Years Eve at the Friars UConn walked away with a 90-53 win. Since their loss to UConn the Friars have gone 6-7, with wins at DePaul 69-59, vs Creighton 80-77, vs Xavier 66-50, vs Butler 73-64 at Georgetown 59-54 and vs DePaul 66-60. Their losses are vs Seton Hall 48-58, vs Villanova 55-85, at Butler 52-62, at Seton Hall 57-73, at Villanova 68-83, vs St John’s 57-62, and at Marquette 61-78. UConn is going for their 40th straight win against Providence and should have no problem achieving that goal. This is the last regular season game at Gampel which means it’s Senior Day for Caroline, Ice, Serah and Yana. Thanks for the memories and wishing you all success in your future endeavors.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 11:45 AM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on FS1.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Providence/Friars. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will limit both Gueye's and Brown's scoring and walk away with season win #29 and consecutive win #45. UConn will play all available players, and everyone will score. UConn 90 – Friars 55.
