Prognosticator's Predictions Game #25 UConn at Marquette

Well it's back to Conference play with UConn traveling to Laverne and Shirley's neck of the woods, Milwaukee, WI to play Marquette at the Al McGuire Center. UConn won the first meeting 61-48 at Gampel, with playing only 7. Lou and Caroline were the only 2 Huskies that were in double figures, 22 and 19. Aubrey did not play a minute in that game and the two that did play were Patterson and DeBerry, playing a total of 9 minutes and scoring only 2 points. UConn will have 3 days between games so they should be rested and may have Caroline for the first time since the last game against Marquette. UConn averages over 15 points more per game than Marquette and both are relatively close with most of the other stats. UConn 80 - Marquette 65.

It's always interesting the second time you play a conference game in a season. Marquette will likely try to play the "interfere with the freedom of movement" game since that seems to be the approach everyone is taking against the Huskies right now. However, the inside game and rebounding should be more effective against Marquette than it was against the Gamecocks.

Could be a tough game for UConn coming back after a physically and mentally demanding game against South Carolina.........Marquette knows their only chance of winning will come from plodding, physical play, and limiting UConn's offensive opportunities........ unless UConn shoots really well from three I expect a slog of a game......just win and please no injuries!
