Seton Hall travels to Hartford for the rematch at the XL Center for UConn’s game #24. The Huskies beat the Pirates last time 83-59. The Pirates are 13-9 and 5-6 in Big East play a full 6 games behind the Huskies. Their BE home wins are St. John’s 74-66OT and Georgetown 71-54, with the road wins being Georgetown 57-49, Butler 64-50, and Xavier 61-47. While their losses at home are against Providence 46-51, Villanova 45-50, Marquette 54-74, UConn 59-83, on the road are Creighton 49-57 and Villanova 41-69. UConn has played every team except Xavier winning the 11 Conference games by an average of 28.6 points. The Pirates SoS by Massey is 72nd and rated 74th, UConn's SoS is #1 and is rated 4th. Their best Conference win was against St. John’s, Massey rated #87 and worst loss was against Providence Massey rated #124. Offensively they are ranked 87th while defensively they are ranked 55th vs UConn being ranked 3rd in offense and 4th in defense.

Seton Hall has 9 SR's, with 1 SO and 3 FR’s, so they do have somewhat of an experienced team. Three of their starters have played all 11 Conference games. Azana Baines F 6’1” SR who averages 33.4 min, 15.1 pts, 6.2 rbds and 1.6 stl and 2.4 t/o’s. Micah Gray G 5’8” SO averages 31mins, 9.8 pts, 2.4 rbds 1.3 ast and 214 t/o’s. Amari Wright G 5’9” SR averages 32.4 min, 4.3 pts, 3 rbds and 6.3 ast. The other two starters have been switching mostly between three players. Kae Satterfield F 6’ SR, 7 games, averages 23.3 min, 8.9 pts, 3.8 rbds, 1.5 t/o’s and 1.1 stl. A’Jah Davis F 6’1” SR, 6 games, averages 15.1 min, 3.9 pts, 3.9 rbd and 1.1 t/o’s. • I don’t see UConn having any problems with the Red Storm, they will wear them down by the end of the halfr and get another conference win. UConn 89Seton Hall 40.

I think the Huskies have hit a wall at this point in the season. Whilst we haven't seen a significant drop off in their scoring, it does seem their offense is not running as efficiently and they're over relying on 2 players to get points. Their defense also seems a step slow. Given that I see smaller MOVs on the rise. As such:

I agree the Huskies are a bit out of sorts but I think it is more about Paige than the proverbial “wall”. She just hasn’t been quite herself for several games now. It says a lot about Paige that she can score 26 and still seem like something is not quite right! However, she seemed a little better against St John’s so I am hopeful she’s getting back to Super Paige. This team is so invested in her, that I think when she is not quite right, the whole team is affected. Hoping that she comes out Wednesday like the Paige of old and gets this team back on track for the stretch run!

hopefully Paige doesn’t have to score 35 this time & we can cut down on the 18 TO s we had last game against them.
