Question...since the Providence campus is only 50 miles away from Storrs, does the team simply take the 1 hour 9 minute (Google maps) same day bus ride and play the game that evening, or do they go the day before, and stay in a hotel?

The last game before the showdown with South Carolina, is against the Providence Friars, a team that UConn demolished 98-53 on Dec 2nd. Since then the Friars have gone 7-7, have a 4-8 Conference record and just recently won at Xaiver 50-48. Geno should be able to give the starting five some rest after the physical play over the past two games. Back in December they had both Azzi and Caroline available for play with Azzi scoring 16 and Caroline scoring 10, while Dorka was still injured. Hopefully both or at least one of the two can play some minutes so that they can not only give some minutes rest for one of the starters, but they can also shake of some rust to help get in shape for match-up against SC. With some luck, maybe Geno can play the starting five 30 minutes or less, by giving the bench more minutes. UConn 90 - Providence 48.
