For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.

UConn travels to Omaha to play their 17th game of the season at Creighton in the CHI Health Center on 1/11/26 at 2:00 PM Eastern. This will be lucky game #13 with UConn winning all twelve previous encounters. Their first matchup was at Gampel on 11/23/14 with a 96-60 win. The largest MOV win was on 1/3/24 94-50 win at Omaha and the smallest MOV was 62-60 win at Storrs. UConn only played 6 players with 4 of them 32 to 40 minutes and Aubrey starting, playing 28 minutes and Caroline coming off the bench and playing 21 minutes. UConn will not have that problem this time around. Creighton is having a down year and currently with a 7-8 record and a 3-3 conference record, they have a game at Marquette on 1/8/26, Marquette is a 3 pt favorite. Their Conference wins are @St John’s 60-52, versus DePaul 70-50 and Butler 67-59. Their Conference losses are versus Seton Hall 79-88, at Georgetown 74-76 and at Villanova 64-74. They have a game on 1/8/26 at Marquette, where ESPN has the Golden Eagles as a 63.6% chance of winning. UConn has wins against some of the same opponents, at Butler 94-47, versus DePaul 102-35 and Seton Hall 84-48. UConn also beat Marquette in Hartford 89-53.

All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 1:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on TRUTV.

The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Creighton/Bluejays. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.

I believe that UConn will limit the Bluejays scoring and this game won’t be close. UConn will play at least 9 available players, and everyone who plays will score. UConn 89Bluejays 46.

Attached is a copy of the Prognosticator's Predictions Rules and Scoring System criteria, please read it so that you are familiar with the game rules. Good Luck to all you Prognosticator's out there and have some fun.

Special Creighton note: I played on the first intercollegiate soccer team at my university, and we badly needed a nickname. The team we put on the pitch was similar to the sort of thing my dog might have put on the pitch, but we couldn't call ourselves the "Poops," especially at a school where chapel was required. I also served then as the Sports Editor of my university. As an English major (the stupidest major but the best for meeting girls), I opted for alliteration naming my team the "Eagles" (a name that persists to this day now 65 years down the pike).
Creighton had a far better option for naming its team, to wit: the Creighton "Barrels" (motto: "We break you, we own you"). But, of course, this was as impossible as the "Poops," so they, too, chose a carnivorous beast (Bluejay, very feisty) bearing no resemblance to the true nature of their sports program. UConn 100-Creighton 10.
