Congratulations goes out to @MooseJaw and @The CDR-Ret for being only a point off of the exact score, they will each receive eight points. The following were 3 points off of the exact score, @Ex Nutmegger, @sun, @broooce and @Nyskier and have earned four points each. Last but not least is @Bluenoser who has earned a point for being 4 points off of the exact score. With the 8 points earned by @The CDR-Ret they have jumped into first place. The following are first time point earners, @MooseJaw, @Ex Nutmegger, @sun and @Bluenoser. Congrats to them and if it hadn't been for their change in the score this morning @sun would not have earned their points. Attached is the current standings and the next Prognosticator's Predictions will be posted sometime this evening.

I want to apologize to @broooce for not awarding them their 4 points, thanks @broooce for bringing it to my attention. Attached is the corrected standings.

Last change, went through the whole board and the awarded points and I discovered that I left off @Nyskier of their four points. Everyone that earned points today is accounted for and posted.

Good morning, here in Husky Nation!

If the actual total score was 141 (92-49), why doesn't a prediction of 142 (88-54) qualify as 1 point off?

Thanks...

It's the actual score, i.e. 92-49 not the total score of 141.

Not being argumentative, just being dense. What would 1 point off of 92-49 be?

91-50?
93-48?

No, the actual score was 92-49 so those scores would be 2 points off. 1 point off would be 92-48, 92-50, 91-49 or 93-49. I don't consider it being argumentative you're just asking for a clarification. Hope this helps.

That's fine, it does help. It would be EASIER for you, Sarge, if you used total score!!

I don't know what branch you were in primarily, but I've always thought that a mortar squad would have an easier time now than in the 70's. The plotting board was a skill in itself!

Quartermaster, was stationed for a year at the Rock of the Marne in the Material Management Center in Kitzingen. They were transitioning to a new automated system and everything was messed up. Got lucky and was accepted into WO school before they completed it.
