Prognosticators Game 13 (Oregon) Predictions

This one will be a defensive battle. The Huskies are going to grind out a tough win in Eugene 66-62.

I had the Oregon radio on. Immediately after they commented on Adia Barnes saying something to Kelly Graves "that could not be repeated on the radio." They called her totally classless.
Lots of courtside reports alone these lines. Don't know why.

The predictions here are kinder to the Ducks than I expected. If they play like they did today in the fourth quarter and part of the Stanford game, then, yes, it will be close; if Oregon spots UCONN an 18 pt (Stanford) or 17 pt (Arizona) lead, before waking up, however, it will be another story entirely.

After watching the game on the PAC Network, I think that UConn can win with playing like they have for the last couple of games. Nika, Evina, CW, and Caroline Ducharme can harass their guards and I think our big's are in better shape than theirs at the moment.

UConn continues defensive intensity. UConn 62 - Oregon 54

Barnes just tweeted this:

Gotta give the edge to the Ducks rationally but my sense is that Uconn has finally hit their stride and are "up" for this game. It's tough to maintain getting up for every game but right now I think we are in that mode. I think it's a defensive slugfest but we will get enough turnovers to make it 62 Uconn, Oregon 61.

Oregon at full strength, playing at home, long cross country flight. Oregon 67 UCONN 61

Oregon has the tallest roster in college basketball, and they play a lot of minutes. We have speed and size. If we use speed we can run them off the court. If we play half court offense were in trouble. Our three point shooting is better than Oregon's, if it shows up. Two of our guards need to rebound with one breaking downcourt. Oregon bigs can also get into foul trouble but so can ours.
Uconn 75 O 68

This should be a great game. Oregon has size, a deeper bench, and much better perimeter shooting. I hope that I am wrong, but I think that the home court tips the scales to Oregon. UConn battles valiantly but loses 68 – 63 .

Are they even going to be able to get there with all the crazy weather in the Northeast and the flight cancellations ?

Long flight and time zone change will affect our ladies and free throws will be the key. Uconn loses 68 - 59
