Prognosticators Game 11 (Wichita State) Predictions

The New Year brings on mostly AAC play with some OOC games to include Team USA for the month of January. Geno or CD whoever is coaching will have them ready for Wichita State at the XL Center on the 2nd of January. The game will not be close, the Shockers will not be able to run with UConn and even though they have a 6'5" center she will not be able to counter Liv in the post. Liv averages more blocks a game herself then the whole Shocker team. It depends on what the final score will be, if the team plays like they did in the second half of OK game, then it's a 60 point win. If they play like they did in the second half of the DePaul game it's a 30 point win. I'm going with the game being closer to the OK game, UConn 105 - Wichita State 50. Wichita State is probably no longer the worst team in the AAC. They did play ranked Missouri State fairly close and beat Oklahoma by 5.

I still think we destroy them. I think the long layoff will help everyone get healthy and I think all the players will be chomping at bit not only after such a long layoff, but after only playing 4 games in December (I think it's 11 in January). I think we come out gangbusters and the game ends up an epic smackdown with big contributions from Megan, Olivia, and Aubrey, and really good games from everyone else.

This could get ugly. WSU does not do anything well, only one kid averaging double figures, leading rebounder is 5' 11", shooting percentages are low despite weak competition. UConn prevails 91 – 49 .
