Was trying to come up with the proper comparison for Geno & the start of a new UCONN season.
1) Used to be when you got a new car you were told not to exceed 60 mph until the engine was “broken in”, about 1000 miles
Expect the first couple of games to see lots of subbing and nobody being pushed until the HC gets a feel for the physical limitations of his players
2) A new sled dog team
The driver has to appraise the different Huskies to see how to place them in harness
They all have different characteristics which would require that they all be placed where they could pull most effectively as a team.
Who goes up front to “lead”? Who goes in the rear to ‘push the pace”?
Who goes in the middle to “steady and regulate “ the team?
Obviously, the off season can’t end soon enough for me. LOL
