The covid situation isnt going to be much better by then so there is no point.Jeez this team can’t catch a break. Push the season back and everyone get a 2 week window in Feb where everyone is on pause!
I don't know about that. The numbers have been going way down in Massachusetts in the last week. Hopefully it's a trend. The covid situation isnt going to be much better by then so there is no point.
Repeat-Repeat -
If they don't change the current protocols, then the odds are very strong that the season is going to get s--tcanned.
It's the same few posters complaining every time, they just need something to be miserable about in lifeWhy are people complaining?? Let’s cancel every game until Bouk gets back. Duh
13 games is the minimum requirement, although the part about Duke is probably accurate.I thought I read that the NCAA was using 16 games as the minimum to qualify for the tournament. Unless Duke only plays 12. Then they will make an exception.
They did. Feb 1st > 5th and 21st > 26th were open.Am I dreaming this? Or did I see that the Big East built into the schedule a week where games can be played that were previously postponed?
Why would they be able to make up games in that window as opposed to the current window?Do what I’ve been saying all along and push back the ncaa tournament 2 to 3 weeks -give every conference a nice little window to make up all the games they have to make up -they can start the tourney in early april- still don’t understand what the rush is to Jam the tournament in on the regular starting dates. are they gonna have to cancel a Madonna concert that’s pre booked? I’m confused as to why this is not already automatic as u have some teams who have played 8 games and some who have played 18
Because in the current window UConn has only played 9 games. This buys them 2 more weeks to squeeze in more games. If u have to fit in 13 games over a one month span , isn’t it easier to get 13 games in over a month and a half? Our February schedule already getting super tight - UConn might be heading into March with no more dates/room to make up games. An extra 2 weeks cud give them the room to fit in 4 more games. Shoot, Butler already going to get cancelled and prolly a couple more. It’s crazy for every 1 game we play, one gets cancelled. And this buys us more time to get our full big East schedule in. We already got screwed in December in our non conference games. What’s the possible negative to buying us two more weeks down the road into mid March? Why would they be able to make up games in that window as opposed to the current window?
I agree I don’t understand it. It’s actually mystifying why they feel the need to start March madness on the normal start date. What rule says the Tourney can't be pushed back til April/May?
