FWIW, I saw the clip and thought it was hysterical. Love Josh Gad as the kid.

The film industry has been remaking movies pretty much right from the beginning of motion pictures. Sometimes the remakes can stand on their own quite nicely. Other times, well if you can't say anything nice....

As for this remake, I wouldn't be inclined to see it, as the original was quite entertaining. But in the end I'll check the reviews, try to figure out if the film might be good and/or interest me, and then we'll see what happens, which is pretty much how I decide on seeing most movies anyway.
