Prince Sprains Ankle

She sprained her ankle in her first game for the Russian national team and returned to Chicago to see her doctor who performed surgery on the same ankle. I hope this does not impact her return to the Sky. They have a chance to do some damage in the east.

Bad week for former RU folks. Essence Carson, leading the Liberty, tore her ACL in her last game and is gone for the season. Really sad, and may hurt the Liberty a lot. Folks are saying that Cappie hasn't been herself, so far this year, I have no idea as I haven't seen a game.

Even with the players they have left, they will probably outperform the Tennessee alums in the WNBA, tho.

From what I read the Russian doctor that first looked at Prince said it was just a sprain, and nothing torn, etc. So she'd just be off the court for a few days.

I don't understand the need to fly all the way back to Chicago, just to have another doctor most likely tell her the same thing.

He should have said this:

X-rays on the ankle were negative, but Prince will head back to Chicago on Friday to be evaluated by Dr. Lowell Scott Weill Sr. He performed surgery on Prince when she injured the same ankle last June. That injury sidelined her for two months.

He should have said this:

Didn't realize she had had surgery previously. Either way it makes sense to return to the surgeon given the circumstances.
