Big time win tonight.

Lots of good things to talk about, but I'll keep it simple. The sideline had a lot of energy. The players on the field had a lot of energy. The playmakers came to play, and there's no doubt that Newsome is for real. With a few exceptions in the first half, the OLine came to play as well. This win is going to go a long way for this program, in terms of the current kids, the current coaching staff, prospective recruiting targets, and the fans.

I agree and after last weeks drubbing the team could have easily folded up shop and mailed it in. The amount of enthusiasm after every big play on the side line stood out a lot. Really great to see.

Was going to post this later. I know it's easy when you're up by a few scores but the energy on the sideline was so diametrically opposite of the SMU game.

That was an impressive performance. Great job by everyone including staff. I admit that I had my doubts after the pick 6. Great, great win.

I was surprised by some things last night. I didn't think our defense would be able to contain their offense. I also didn't think our offense would be able to match their offensive efficiency. Generally when we have played the good offensive teams our defense is not able to get penetration and stop those teams from getting big plays to keep the drives going. Last night we really hit them hard, tackled well and played aggressively. Some of the turnovers were just great plays like Obi's 2 picks (one of which was overturned on replay that I thought really should have been confirmed.) It was a really fun game to watch because we were making plays all over the field and they really couldn't do much about what we threw at them. Really a shame that we had such a poor turnout but our group had an awesome time!! Great effort by the boys!

I just hope this ECU game was a sign of them finally putting things together, and not a fluke. If they continue to play ball like last night, they actually have a shot to reach six wins. Dare I say, even win out the rest of their schedule.
