Folks have to remember a few little things. While we were great at the end of last season, even with Kemba, we struggled a lot during the season and the returning crew was pretty young. Second, this was a game where RB not available was big problem. UConn is not set up to play D against a team going 4 guards, and even less so without RB. It really compromises at least one of the big guys on D if not on O, even though you would hope them defending us would be a big problem, too. But when big guys have to defend in ways they normally don't, meaning defend all over the court, it usually doesn't work and it also means the team that plays bigger sacrifices some of what makes them tick on O in order to try and adjust on D. Hard to do when your bench is one small guy short to begin with. Bad match up against a hot and more veteran team. I don't follow Tenn,, but if they have a more conventional team, it should be a little easier on D. Even though he was pretty heroic, SN playing 1 on 5 on O was a bit more to be concerned about.
