Are the Post-game pressers available somewhere to view or read?

Uconn only posts excerpts in transcript form from home games - sometimes we get lucky and an opponent posts either full transcripts or video of the pressers. I suppose it is a 'control the image' issue but I wish Uconn would set up a camera and post video - not a whole lot of effort involved and costs would be minimal. If something untoward did happen, there are video cameras rolling so it would leak out anyway.

nice to hear Chris Dailey on the radio post-show, interesting stuff

The frustrating thing is that UConn used to post video of Geno's postgame press conferences routinely, at least for home games. This was a few years ago, but I don't recall exactly when. I have no idea why they stopped doing it.

I just wonder if it was around the time of Calhoun's mini-melt down presser - did the school at that point decide it wasn't worth it to have that possibility recur?

You could be right. I wish I remembered the timing more precisely. But as you say, video of some future incident like that will almost certainly leak anyway, so it's not a very good reason for not posting the pressers.

What's the sense of having a press conference if you can't either hear it or read a transcript?
Makes absolutely no sense to me.
I figured out yesterday that you could tune in to UConn/IMG and get CD's remarks
But can't find a word of Geno's except what the horde quoted

it's like being in China.

CD said they're going to a amusement park while down their... only the seniors know #surprise

If you are referring to the "Ryan Gomes" meltdown press conference by Calhoun, then I don't think that had anything to do with it because that was a few years before they decided to stop posting the press conferences.

I think UcMiami might have been referring to Calhoun's "not one dime back" press conference. The more I think about it, I believe that one also predated UConn's decision to stop posting the press conferences, but I'm not positive.

Probably the day after Geno went after the student reporter. ;) It's a joke people!

I wonder if part of the reluctance to post the pressers is to protect the Horde. The newspapers are struggling and much of their coverage are quotes from the presser. It would take something away from them if the video were always easily accessible.

As always: Follow the money. There are many media people who make money by cherry picking what is said at the post-game presser.
These quotes are the only reason to read the articles. If the pressers are on video, you do not need to read the articles.
p.s. ever notice how all the media present the same quotes - buy one paper and you get them all.

The Jose and Bull player pressers are in on of Nan's news links:

Thanks for this- my respect and liking of both Coach Fernandes and Courtney Williams is strong, especially after this game and watching these interviews. Williams plays so hard and speaks with intelligence and humor- I will be rooting for them in the tournament, unless, of course, they play us! I think we will have our hands full playing them again, possibly twice. Ferreira is really irritating- twice she went clearly over the back and got called, and she acted incredulous, not 2 mention the award winning flops that cost Brianna 2 offensive fouls- yikes! Hope the refs for future games get a heads up on her "acting skill"
