After losing to Columbia, a team she had played numerous times in the Ivy League, Kaitlyn must have been thinking why did I bother transferring here. Glad that she got the definitive answer today.

As someone who's seen almost all of Columbia's home games the last decade, I love this. The Lions were SO tough this year and fun to watch. Packed houses many nights, great atmosphere (especially compared to the dreadful men's program). But yeah, obviously if they'd met later in the year...probably slightly different result!

And I think Chen lost only once against Columbia in her four years there so this must have felt really weird to her.

Our perimeter defense probably sucked in this game. Look at Columbia’s 3 point shooting. I remember earlier in the year we had a tendency to give up a lot of open 3 pointers. We really improved in that area.

It was a secret scrimmage. The NCAA allows Div I teams to play in the preseason as long as there are no fans and no official score-keeping. No statements about the scrimmage can be reported to the press

As a proud Lion alum, I had absolutely no knowledge of this scrimmage. What I can tell you is that fellow Lion alum and HC Megan Griffith has done a phenomenal job resurrecting Columbia basketball and that one of the best things that happened this year for the team’s fortunes was that Kaitlyn Chen graduated from Princeton.
