Salvadores wont be the starting pg for Duke this season.

Who will? Lambert?

I realized only afterwards that my snark was misplaced. I do expect Salvadores to be quite good, though.

I shall amend to - "The Battle for 'Best Spanish Point Guard in the ACC'"

Lambert will start from day one..... unless things change in the next few weeks.

The College Sports Madness people are not high on FSU. They have them ranked #13. Lack of quality outside shooting.

Well, I respectfully disagree with The College Sports Madness people, whoever the hell they are. Although the apparently know more than the NCAA coaches.

I agree 100% with easing Salvadores in and it sends a good message to the team to not just throw her in there ... BUT Chidom and Salavadores I believe will be the starters come March unless they're just too exxeptional off the bench together.

I like Lexie much better in Blue than that God awful UnderArmour road kill of her former colors.

You can take the exhibition games with a grain of salt... however... comparing the scores.... NC State beat Wingate in an exhibition game this past Sunday 72-37....... yet UNC only beat Wingate 59-48. The score was tied 24-24 at the half....... and the score was tied 48-48 with less than 5 minutes in the game, before the Cheaters Tar Heels reeled off the final 11 points of the game. NC State was picked to finish #10 in the ACC... while UNC is #20 and #22 in the preseason polls

All this to say..... Aint no way the Tar heels should be ranked.... im not so sure they are in the top 20 in the state of NC at this point :p

Thanks for posting.
By February 8th, UConn will have played the preseason #2, #3, #6, #7 and #10 teams. Pretty aggressive schedule..!! Good for UConn..!
Go Huskies..!!

Yes, good for UConn. In stark contrast to UConn's aggressive OOC schedule, take a look at Baylor's OOC. They play their first ten (10) games AT HOME, most of which are "cupcakes". They play 1 ranked team during that time (#24 Michigan State). They have 8 days off between games during the Christmas break. Their 1st road game of the season is a conference game on Dec 30th. against Oklahoma State. That's my idea of a very soft pre-conference schedule.

The only team I question is UNC. Mainly because of all the players they lost.

They should do well in the pre-conference portion of their schedule. 16 of their first 17 games are at home. They play 1 ranked opponent during that time (#19 Northwestern). Eight of their last 14 games are on the road.

Of their 31 scheduled games, 22 of them are home games. That my friends is a lot of home cookin'!!

I know it's early, but looking ahead to March, I think we can all agree that the first 3 teams (barring injuries) listed here should make it to the final four.

My question is who will be #4? Who will be the last to get in?

I'm not sure Tennessee can make it. 5 thru 9 all have set their sights on earning a trip to Indianapolis. I think they all have a better than average chance of doing so. A lot will depend on the bracket assignments.

Again I suggest to you that no one wants to be in UConn's bracket. Or to put it another way, the other 63 invitees would rather NOT be in UConn's bracket (region)............if given a choice.
