Give credit to Hurley for not sugar-coating our flaws. Mutual responsibility between coaches and players to fix things. Esp. increased productivity from our bench on a consistent basis. A program as successful as ours has been should expect home crowds to be a major advantage this time of year. Not too many(home games) left before BET/March Madness.

i'm glad he addressed the inbounding issues. The one was 100% on karaban mising the open guy in the corner. THe last one was people not starting the play fast enough. The comment of newton demanding the ball at the end to get on the line rings true.

Interesting that Dan Hurley would bring up knowing how to juke-get open- with multiple tricks in your bag as the receiver of the in-bounds pass- combined with a decisive and accurate in-bounder. Using FB as an example- The offense has the advantage over the defense of knowing where/when they're cutting -multiple moves if needed- providing the passer/in-bounder with a target, etc. Apparently we need multiple capable targets for our in-bounders. This has become a team challenge-Not just an in-bounder challenge. We're gonna keep seeing this tactic in up-coming games until we start making the defense pay for it at the offensive end. Gotta figure it out. Difficult but simple.

After years of inbounds problems, we did make some adjustments this year. But the lack of urgency at the end od virtually every game has been disappointing.

Mike Anthony writes a lot of very good articles but this one made me laugh. A discussion about Hurley's use of swear words. Particularly one word.

“I use it constantly when I talk in natural, casual conversation,” Hurley said Monday after practice at the Werth Champions Center. “We all come from different places. We all come from different neighborhoods. We come from different communities, go to different schools. We’re from different states, from different cities, where the culture, how you communicate, the vernacular, it’s a lot different. So for me, I would probably say when I talk to recruits on visits and the way I talk to my team and the way I talk in staff meetings, maybe I’ve been here too long and I’ve gotten too comfortable here where I’m just kind of talking like I’m myself, like I’m talking to friends or family or just being totally myself. And maybe as a public figure I need to be more guarded.”

Does Dan Hurley go too far with his F-bombs? We asked him.
