I was taught, many years ago, that in order to have a rational discussion, the first thing that needs to happen is the "definition of terms".
Without that, people will simply talk past each other, as the discussion will otherwise not be about apples to apples.
Discussions about officials and bias in games often touches on the concept of "makeup calls".
Definitions of that concept are welcome, as this will begin to (in my mind) solidify the discussion, and lead to understanding, if not consensus.
