I don't often agree with you but this pretty close to what I would pick. I might move Stanford down a bit.

Move Baylor way up on that list.

I have a hard time arguing with your top six except to note that the gap between #1 and #2 is huge and the gap between #2 and #3 is pretty big too. And I wouldn't be surprised to see #3 and #4 flip.

After top six thinking UofL maybe a bit higher and maybe Tx should be in there.

I would switch Tennessee with Maryland. Also I am not sure about FSU or OSU. I think FSU loses several seniors and doesn't Oregon State lose Hamblin?

There are 6 teams in my top 10. after watching some of the games this tournament i can't justify ranking teams higher even if there are blanks.

1. Uconn
2.
3.
4. Notre Dame
5.
6-10. Baylor, FL st., SC, TN

Please remind me--who are the Duke recruits and those coming back from injury. Do you have good guards?

Hoopgurlz #5 - PG Angela Salvadores (scored 40 pts against US in U-17 championship game)
HG #9 - PG Kyra Lambert
HG #25 - W Faith Suggs
HG #46 - G Crystal Primm

Injured C Lynee Belton and F Oderah Chidom, with good coaching this team can play
with anyone.

What if Duke changes coaches?........Will these recruits stay or they free to transfer to another school?

That seems like it would logical, but I don't think it works that way. But someone like JS or others who know the NCAA rules way better than I do would be better equipped to answer that...

I think in cases where the HC is fired and there is a lot of controversy surrounding a program, individuals can petition for a waiver of the NCAA rules for sitting out. IIRC Calhoun, who left Duke in December or January, is trying to petition for just that saying it was a "fear for her safety" if she stayed.. Haven't heard anything new on that so i'm unsure what the end result is...

Sorry to rehash, but my educated guess is, once again:

1. UConn
2. UConn
3. UConn
4. UConn
5. UConn
6. UConn
7. UConn
8. UConn
9. UConn
10. UConn
11. UConn
12. UConn

ANYONE, but I think we go back to beating the rest and struggling against the elite aka Notre Dame and Uconn. We will have enough talent to compete with Tenn/ South Carolina but I think we still lose to Notre dame because of coaching although I expect the games will be far more competitive with the magnitude of guards from both teams.

Duke will not change coaches before they get here, so I don't really know how to answer your question.

To Alexrgct- I disagree with no. 12. I would put Notre Dame there.

I agree with your top 3. I think the next six are neck and neck and could fall in any order, then Texas or Ohio St for the 10th spot.

1) Connecticut
2) ND
3) South Carolina
4) Baylor
5) Maryland
6) FSU
7) TN
8) Ohio State
9) Duke
10) UNC

Salvadores just finished a good season (over 14 ppg) playing in the Spanish Pro league..... playing with and against full grown women as opposed to high school girls. She's definitely will be college ready from day #1..... look forward to seeing her in the fall.

If DD was still at UNC they would beat Fsu and Maryland handily. And there's A LOT more talent around her in Knoxville. TN will be able to beat a lot of teams just because of DD presence alone. Say whatever you want, but she will be a First Team AA.

FSU only loses Meghan Conwright-a starter.

OSU only loses one senior as well. Hamblin is a junior and will be back next season. I think the OSU senior was Ali Gipson. Everyone else they return and add Katie McWilliams who I hear is quite good.

If DD were at UNC..... they probably would be still playing. She's definitely a 1st teamer........ I did enjoy watching her play last season, and I look forward to seeing her play next year.

Don't forget Kiana Holland, Duke transfer, she can shoot the ball.

My only big disagreement is with Baylor at 10. They bring everyone of consequence back, have a really talented group of freshmen coming in (especially the bigs) and should be better than this year. And as far as Gonzaga goes, they could move up or down substantially depending on whether they can replace Greinacher's (sp?) offense.

I think TN will have more overall talent next year, but it looks as if the offensive focus will shift from the frontcourt to the perimeter, which TN has not had much luck with in the past. I'm not sure they will be a better TEAM than this year.

Seriously...can we advance to the final four first....hopefully win another title

I thought the same.
But now I have to ask. After last night how many of you resonders would like to change your vote?
