Wow! Can you imagine what some of the recruits will be thinking when they see Coach Hurley walk into the gym? I imagine some will be thinking, "This is the guy who won back-to-back NCs, continues to send a slew of players to the NBA and just turned down the Show Time Lakers."

I'm very curious to see what 2024 recruits and players from the Portal decide to play for Hurley and UConn.

Hopefully the chance to develop and win under Hurley outweighs any concern that he might go to the NBA next year or the near future.
 
Looking forward to hearing some updates on our new roster adds. Portal and 2024 freshmen. Still early but curious what some of our returners think of their new teammates as they get a few more practices completed.

I imagine the players just want to get down to the business they signed up for, and forget about the past few days.

Being thrilled Danny chose the team over coaching LeBron is not likely on anyone's mind.

Danny should fire his agent, or whoever orchestrated the clown show of the past few days.

I was literally thinking the same thing and googling other highlights. His jumper at Chipotle Nationals was pure as well, he went 7/8 from three in the 3 games there against elite competition and the form looked really nice. He also hit a couple midrange pullups (1 over Flagg).

He shot 27% from 3 in AAU the previous summer and I can't find any full season Paul VI stats. But I think this is one reason why he moved up the rankings this season. He must have tweaked his jumper.
 
The day Dan Hurley announced he was staying and we had a 4 hour practice scheduled I read that Calipari was meeting his team that day for the first time. Like they say, our coaches are serious dudes

It was a 4 hour block of time reserved - not a 4 hour practice.

The brand exposure is kinda like your wife saying she is going to leave you, but she'll wait until she finds the right guy.

Hopefully the school has an exit fee they can use as NIL money to retain players.

It was the first Monday they were all on campus. Makes sense.

Now, if UConn got him to come here to talk what ifs, and leaked it just to mess with Calipari and Arkansas, that would have been awesome.
