Let's imagine you are running the Uconn women's practice for a day. You are given the assignment of dividing the squad into two evenly matched teams for the practice game. Now that there are 12 relatively healthy girls available, you get to assign six to each team, endeavoring to keep the talent evenly matched to achieve the most competitive practice game. Who would you put on each team? Here are my choices:

Blue team. Mo, Eck, Nat, Morgan, Collier, Tlaw

White team. Stewie, Kls, Kia, Saniya, Gabby, Polly

Who do you pick?

I raised the same question on a thread last fall called "Break Up the Huskies." My query was whether both imaginary squads would do well against the teams UConn was scheduled to meet this season. What would the records of your two teams be in actual competition? Surely there's no hope that both would be undefeated. Is there?

How could both possibly be undefeated? Their first game is against each other!

LOL good questions. Because Stewie is so dominant, I would try going off the YTD scoring - put Stewie on one team, then Morgan, Moriah and Kia on the next, then alternate...

Stewie, Gabby, Natalie, Saniya, Courtney, Tierney
Moriah, Morgan, Kia, Lou, Napheesa, Briana

Maybe something like that?
