I posted all this early on Saturday morning when the site came back up but I guess that was the old site and it's all now gone. So figured I'd post again.

Anyone go? Impressions? A couple people responded to that thread so could you post again? Sounds like Tarris dominated. Mullins went off for a while.

“Last year I felt like Coach was attacking me,” he said. “But then you really take a step back after the season and this season I’m like, man, that’s love. Like he really wanted the absolute most out of me. And when this season ends, whenever my college career is done, what Coach Hurley and the coaching staff has done for me these two years is like … (I’m) forever grateful.”

Tarris Reed Jr. is primed to be a dominant force for UConn men’s basketball

"Jaylin's a UConn guy," said Hurley. "A lot of stuff swirls around the kids here. He's just a UConn guy, through and through. He's one of the best human beings you'll ever be around, a total loyalty guy. There was no hard-line negotiating. He loves UConn, he loves the program, he loves Connecticut, he loves Storrs, he loves being a Husky. And I think he's got self-awareness. He knows there were things he needed to do, and it wasn't necessarily us holding him back, but more things he needed to do, which he's addressed. And now, he looks like a different guy."

Gotta say, this is more positive than anything Hurley said about Stewart from last off season that I can remember. Hope that means he’s figured it out.

Two more additions to the roster soon?

Thanks for pointing that out. I mentioned that in the other thread that disappeared and I forgot to point that out again. I wonder if that's another 5 lots of people on here have been clamoring for? Or maybe just a couple walk-ons?

End was odd: UConn will look to make 2 additions?

We have 14 on the team…guess Diaby has to go.

When Hurley addressed the crowd after the scrimmage Friday, he mentioned they were bringing in a developmental 5.
He then added "and maybe another" which I interpreted as a walk on based on the way he said it.
Everyone agreeing this is smart after the fact is gonna be rich.

To be fair, the back-n-forth banter was more between posters who were like "Our season is DOOOOMED unless we find another player to be our 3rd-string center ASAP" and those who were more like "It would be nice to have a 3rd-string center, but our season outlook doesn't really hinge on it"

I said this a long time ago. We need another big just for practice. For the same reason football camp has five QBs.

Really tired of reading this dramatized, mischaracterization of the opposing argument again.

Glad the staff settled the argument. Ideally this player will never step on the court in meaningful minutes this year, but having someone ready to go if a center misses extended time was always the correct move.
