We can all agree last night locked in PP's firing for the 2014 season, but my question is how long he'll make it in 2013? I know you can't fire a coach will 11 games to play but after MD/Michigan we'll be 0-3. Will Warde give him the ax if we lose @Buffalo and start 0-4?

I would fire him right now. They have a bye week before Maryland so that would give time for the Interim coach (Weist), Associate Head Coach (Hughes) and new Offensive Line coach (Foley?) to implement their styles so that we can be ready for AAC play when USF comes to town.

As for buzz of the program goes, I actually think the fanbase would be fired up again if Pasqualoni and DeLeone are fired. Addition by subtraction. Give Weist 2013 to see if he can coach. If the team plays with energy and spark, give him a 2014 and beyond extension. If the team continues to play with the same lack of passion like they did last night for the remainder of the season under Weist, then Warde better be prepared to open up the wallet and bring in a big name replacement. Another Hathaway-esque uninspired hire will crush this program and university even further than it already is (if that's possible!).

I think the decision has honestly already been made but Warde won't actually announce it until we are at least 10-11 games into the season, and probably not even until after the year.

Assistants, however, are fair game at any time, and GDL should be signing up for unemployment sometime around... say... 1:30 this afternoon.

Warde should fire him today, and spare us fans the agony of seeing this washed up shell of a big-time college football head coach dragging this program down any further than he already has in his 2 years here. Time to move on. Go out and hire Gene Chizek... the guys doing radio on SiriusXM right now! Haha

I've completely given up on this season if Pasqualoni is the head coach. With a new head coach, I'll get my excitement back. At the very least, Warde has a great opportunity to send a very strong message that UCONN is serious about competing and improving its football. Keeping him around any longer just gives the CR world another few months to say things like "See? UCONN football is irrelevant and they don't care."
