Geno humorously speculated that the number 23 might be mesmerizing the team since they have a tendency to stand around and watch/wait for KML to score like former teams did with Maya. He said even he expects her to score every time.

Loved the bit from Geno about how good he feels for his team for THIS WIN, because they really own it. Nothing to do with previous teams, previous superstarts - they OWN this one. And he loves it.

Just a couple of observations:

Muffett remains one of my favorite WCBB coaches. Always poised, classy and complimentary to her team and the opponent.

And - how young women can sit through press conferences after a loss is beyond me. I definitely didn't have that kind of maturity when I was in college.

Glad to hear Muffett wants to play us every year. No matter how the BE re-alignment ends up in the near or far future.

Muffet was honest and direct... she didnt spit out the same 'ol interview comments/quotes.

first interview of any coach I watched (besides Geno) because its mostly always the same crap.. "we executed well blah blah blah"
