The deadline for a player to enter the portal is May 1....correct?
Once entered there is no timeline that requires the player to accept an offer...correct?
That would allow both player and coaches plenty of time to see if the fit is right.

We have one scholarship left. Do you think Geno will pursue the portal to see if there
is a match...or just shut that down and concentrate on high school players...or both?

The class of 2025 is off to an excellent start with Kelis Fisher and Gandy Mamel Malou...but it seems we'll
have several schollies beyond those 2 after next season with graduation opening some spots.

A good strategy would be to wait till after May 1 to see if there are any surprising new entrants to the portal. Then the coaching staff can decide if we need to pursue any of those players. The coaches know better than us what the health status of the returning players is.

There may also be International players of interest. I don't know how that works and what the deadlines are for getting new players onto the team.
