Why is Louisville playing Florida International in a nationally televised game? The BE looks poor when they lose to a team who is not likely BCS potential. Why did UConn play Fordham, a Patriot League team? So what if you get a W. If you lose or play badly BE football looks like peanuts. I thought that the idea was to upgrade the schedule. Honestly! Maybe FIU is as good as the teams in the Big East, but Fordham?

We tried playing a good team last year in the opening week when we had a more talented team returning and we saw how that worked.

I'm just being a ball buster but you get the point. We definitely needed a tune up game this season.

Right now FIU is a lot better than at least one team in the Big East.....

Very fortunate flag. The WR was open, stopped (which led to contact) and the pass was overthrown (primarily because the WR stopped).

look,

few R watching anyhow, and honestly, the 'ville was expected to be @ or near the bottom of the league this year.

Sun Belt teams have beaten other BCS schools in the past, Troy comes to mind, so it's truly not the end of the world

and Louisville wasn't exactly embarrassed, though it was looking that way in the 2nd qtr

WVU is the BIG east's standard bearer, we all know this, so the LSU game is HUGE, hopefully they visit Morgantown undefeated and WVU finds a way, that is the only oppt'y (aside from 'cuse visiting ((the real)) USC out in LA) for the BIG east to garner any nat'l noteriety/respect whatsoever based on this year's OOC sched.

none of this should surprise anyone who reads boards such as these

considering teams from BCS leagues last week lost to 1-AA teams, this, while not good, isn't going to really change any perception. As stated, the games vs other BCS leagues are the big ones, WVU-LSU being #1.
