A couple years ago I started a feature called POP, or Pointing Out Positives, in the face of increasing negativity on the board because we were actually losing multiple games in the same season. Well, I for one don't see a loss coming this year except at the hands of Baylor and even that is not a given. Plus it is fairly obvious after all the jubilation over a lousy exhibition game that we have a problem of too much optimism around here. I now provide a PON feature, or Pointing Out Negatives, so that the Boneyard might aspire to a little more balance.

KML - Everyone is going crazy over her six 3s but she took twelve of them for crying out loud. That's only 50%. And 31 minutes in an exhibition game? She's going to lose her legs by the end of the season.

Faris - Fill up the stat sheet this, fill up the stat sheet that. It escaped the attention of many that she only got 5 rebounds. Last year she was often the second leading rebounder in a game, if not the first. In this first exhibition she only was tied for third, with Dolson no less.

Banks - did not get a single offensive rebound. People are bound to excuse her for being a perimeter player, but look at how many offensive rebounds KML got. There is no excuse.

Stewart - This one's too easy. Only 1 - 5 from three point land? You don't see that kind of stat line from EDD.

Tuck - her first play is a turnover? That's not UConn basketball.

Jefferson - PG of the future? Her A/T ratio of 1.5 was the worst of all the guards. She's obviously a poor decision-maker.

Team notes - Did I read the box score right? IUP assisted on 80% of it's made baskets (8-10)? Our defense won't allow us to win many games if even a DII team can have that type of offensive efficiency against us. We are supposed to be the ones with the best teamwork.

I know this is only our first exhibition game but I don't see how we are going to beat Baylor by 20 points this year if we don't start shaping up.

Digger you are so right;) There is so much to be "Very Concerned" about. As Sarah also indicated both CD and Bria provided nothing. We are talking about 2 starters a 5th year SR and a JR AA. This is not OK.

Our vaulted FR Stewie and Fria Tuck did not give us 20 points apiece nor 10 rebounds each. Very dissapointing!!

KLM SO was a hog with the ball and really pushy getting the rebound # obviousely not being a team member!

Kelly a SR had to be dissapointing to all of us.Only 8 assts, only 11 points, only 5 rebounds and what was it 1-2 steals<where was her defense. This is what we want from a SR leader?

Mo FR we are putting our future in a "knat"?

Banks SO only 7 steals,a TO,only what a few assts, pts we were told how improved she was she didnt score 15 ptseed th

Big Momma JR she must be anorexic or balemic!!! We need this kind of problem?

Kiah SO only 9 pts and 3 rbs

Let's not forget their poor conditioning. Only KML logged over thirty minutes. The rest are so far out of shape 25 was the max. Thank goodness someone worked out this offseason.
