Wondering when we can reasonably expect these two guys to be back. I'm assuming Polley will have a choice to make about whether to play next year and Akok will be a medical redshirt.

Akok will most likely be a MR
Polley - that type of injury is quirky - will he feel comfortable to return is the real answer.
I'd rather have both at positively 100% in body and mind rather than try to get back before that point is reached.

Polley wasn't the most athletic and aggressive player even before the injury. He should be able to be back and fill his role as a 3 point threat without any issues. He may be limited in the early season, but should be valuable by the time conference play starts. His role may shift a bit with the new roster, but he will be needed.

Aren't they both expected to be ready?
I would think Polley for sure. I know everyone is different, but when AJ Price tore is ACL, it was mid March and he missed no time the following season. Polley tore his in January, so you would think he will be ready to go 100% by November when games start.

With Akok mid season is possible, the following season is possible, but it was April 16th last year I believe, when Breanna Stewart tore her Achilles and she was back playing for the Olympic team in late Jan this year, 9 mos, later, so before Christmas is also a possibility. My bet/hope is that he is able to practice in December and able to play some minutes in January.

It's in both of their best interest to red-shirt next year IMO. Even if Polley could come back next year in say Jan wouldn't he be better off red-shirting with the goal of coming back at 100% for a full season? Imagine how good Polley could be in the 2021-2022 season. For Akok it seems like a no brainer to make sure the heal is 1000% healthy. (See Kevin Durant)
