Every game, someone posts about how much they hate the announcer(s). Please vote for the announcers you actually LIKE. Not just the ones you tolerate, but the ones you're happy about when you hear they're on the game you're watching.

I was going to post a similar thread today. I like most announcers. The thing that got me thinking was how old Raftery is now. Was thinking that the old guard is leaving. Who do you think is going to replace them?

Some of these guys are a bit annoying at times but my dislike for their absurd anecdotes and cringy calls doesn’t come close to how much I couldn’t stand Billy Packer.

“That’s a carry!! He’s carrying the ball!!”. -Talking about Chris Smith’s ballhandling…every…single...game.

Raff because he's loved us for a long time.

Bilas because he was the first to call Storrs "The Basketball Capital of the World" I like his style

Donny because he is one of us.

Fanta because he works with Donny and seems like a nice enough guy

I believe Dickie V was the first to sat that, Bilas is too much of a stiff to do that.

I like Raf on a call. Everyone else I can take or leave. I have no problem with Fanta, his screechy voice is grating sometimes but he seems like a good dude and you can tell he loves what he does.

I've also been watching UConn games on mute since Iona in '23 so it doesn't much matter to me.

After 87 voters, no real surprises other than only 11 people liking Dick Vitale. I would have thought more folks had some sentimental attachment to him....then again, I certainly didn't vote for him.

He might be the worst alum you could pick. Arrogant and often uninformed, likes the sound of his own voice and can’t stop making things about him. You’d think the guy was Michael Jordan the way he talks sometimes. I’m consistently shocked someone at Fox chooses to cut him a paycheck - most fans of other teams agree

Amazing that at this point the number of people that don't like Raf outnumber Vitale fans 16-11
 
Wish I had read the OP before voting, lol. I voted Kellogg because I don't mind him and would take him over a guy like Gus Johnson 10 times out of 10. I do like Rafferty, Eagle and Bilas though.

I used to be fans of Johnson and Fanta but both are so over the top these days it's annoying
