I don't want to skim through everyone's rationalizations in other threads. This move will likely have a short term positive impact on the men's basketball team, while trashing the rest of the athletic department over time.

I’m excited! This is going to turn out a lot better for us. I’m not worried about football. Independent is going to work out better for us. UConn has a plan people.
