The jealousy and envy are palpable.

I don't know that I would, but the question appears to be divisive, hence, the roughly 50/50 split in votes. To be fair, were the roles reversed half this board would probably vote for a #1 Syracuse losing an 8/9 game over UConn winning the NIT after missing the big dance.
Obviously I pose a hypothetical, as that situation appears highly unlikely if not impossible for the foreseeable future ...![]()
Fair? This is the boneyard! To be fair, were the roles reversed half this board would probably vote for a #1 Syracuse losing an 8/9 game over UConn winning the NIT after missing the big dance.

In two more years, a thread will be named
I saw that one, too! Syracuse may be orange, but the flag they're waving is white.
It's amazing how so many old-time Big East rivals have fallen on hard times.
Well, isn’t an NIT banner right up there with a Helms one?Like how they are talking up the NIT, that's how far they've fallen off
actually, despite the thread title, the vast majority of the posters there say they have no interest in the NIT, that if it comes to that they'd rather the season end so Red can hit the portal early.Like how they are talking up the NIT, that's how far they've fallen off
Yes. And wrong. Is Cuse even a NIT lock? Assuming they make the NIT they have zero chance of winning more than 1 game

been watching a lot of Cuse this year because daughter might be going there next year - the team got a lot better via subtraction when Red kicked Benny Williams out of the program. Problem now is they have no real paint presence, and there's way too much hero ball with Mintz.Syracuse is in okay shape. I think Red is a good coach. And I saw they were playing man-to-man defense the other night.
But that choice is silly, no one wants to be in the NIT.
Don’t disagree with this. To the folks that remember the good times, winning the NIT probably barely registers. It’s just less sad than not winning the NIT.To be fair, were the roles reversed half this board would probably vote for a #1 Syracuse losing an 8/9 game over UConn winning the NIT after missing the big dance.

They're guaranteed in just based on name recognition. Is Cuse even a NIT lock?
