Other coaches would love to be in Geno’s shoes right now. I don’t know what he will do with the starting line up. And it may change as the season progresses. But we have a great bench that could possibly be a top 25 team on their own. Regardless, Geno is still cooking, and at UConn, everyone eats

I'm a little concerned about those who voted against Sarah, Serah and KK.

They must have never heard of Geno...

From what I've seen (since 1995) of the Head Coach with the most victories and most NC's, he appreciates Senior leadership and the greatest amount of experience at the Division I level and FF and NC game experience/performance for the first game of the season.

I'm with Geno, as he wins a lot because he is right a lot!

Can hardly wait for November, 2025!

My belief is that the Italian league is a higher standard of play than the ncaa. And if Blanca is battling with 23 year old Sara Scalia for best player on a team over there… I think that gives her the edge over Shade.

I'm not discarding Jana; she'll play. I just dont see a Sarah-Serah-Jana lineup as being on the floor at the same time a lot. And certainly not starting.

Well it looks like people are pretty set on KK, Azzi, Ash, Sarah, and Serah. Honestly, I vacillate between Ash and Blanca - I tend to think Blanca will be more dynamic and overall a better player, but with such a plethora of depth, Geno may well go with the more "experienced" (in the UConn system) Ash. But OMG...

If the starters are as above, How about Kayleigh, Morgan, Blanca, Ice and Jana off the bench? Then followed up by Kelis, Allie, Caroline, Ayanna and Gandy? Talk about an embarrassment of riches...!!!

You & I are on the same page for the beginning of the season.

If the UConn system is difficult to learn and incorporate for new/young players how can you expect a newbie to go right out of the gate. Discounting the notable exceptions which I don’t believe is in this year’s freshman class.

I’m looking forward to this next season to see how everything falls out and then comes together.

We did (I ran it). Sarah did pretty well. I'll dig up the results ...

Recruiting services didnt even have Blanca as the #1 international recruit. I consider her a big time wildcard -- could be really good; could have a ways to go.

Well, maybe at least some BYers are beginning to take a wait & see attitude. Perhaps they realize that in reality, videos of foreign players and high school highlight video clips rarely equate to the talent necessary to play (much less start) at the D1 level of college basketball.
