JS, Biff and I have gotten some complaints on the presence of politics & religion in some recent posts here on the women's board. Firstly, I'd like to say I appreciate the moderate tone and reasonableness of the communication we've received - thanks to you all.
Anywho, the complaints are justified, in that some threads, specifically those dealing with Brittney Griner/LGBTQ topics, have ranged into religious or political arenas and we do have rules that require folks to refrain from venturing there. While the rules are relaxed to a great extent in the off-season, it's still a good idea to stay away from religion and politics. Even though the threads we've had here have been mostly civil, they have annoyed a number of people who've had enough of both topics in the news, on Facebook/Twitter, or even in the office. There's a board here on the Boneyard where topics of all kinds are allowed, even religion and politics. It's called the Cesspool and you can reach it by clicking on the pull down menu at the top of the board.
Now, some threads sort of stray into religion or politics as threads wander, as they tend to do here. If that happens, the thread is likely to be moved to the Cesspool, or if it's just a single post, the post is likely to be deleted. This includes the Andlig Ledare, by the way.
We've kind of let this go as people have been civil and there were no real objections to this point but now I'm hearing about it from a number of people. I missed some threads/post and for that I apologize.
