Pod: Behind the Scenes at Braylon's Decision

Hi all,

Got some time with Braylon's dad Josh for the pod. He talks about the decision making process, Braylon's first year in Storrs, and what to expect next year.

I can see why Josh wanted Hurley to coach his kid. Great interview. Too bad you didn't ask him about his relationship with Alex as a mentor.

.-.
I also liked that his Dad said besides getting stronger in the offseason he is hoping Mullins will be showing up a little more of his handle and going to the basket. His dad said in high school as the man he wasn't just a shooter but someone who could take him man off the dribble.

Jared is a great host. Natural, nothing forced, great questions and the report with his guests. Josh is awesome, no wonder Braylon is who he is. We are lucky to have this family be a part of the Husky Nation!

Thanks!

What was the minor procedure he had done after the year ended. His Dad said once he gets back from this minor procedure he had done we can get to work on his body. I took that as he had done type physical issue that needed to be addressed before he could go all in on building up his body.

From today's Borges article:

Indeed, Mullins had an infection in his leg, likely from a cut suffered during a fall on the court during a game. He had a minor procedure done on Monday to clean it out and was on crutches for a few days, though he’s fine now.

Great job on the interview, as they have all been great all year long. Josh has been a great interview as Ive heard him a few times now.

Interesting what he said about the pressure, and how you want to seek that pressure. I feel when Mullins misses shots, its not because of pressure, he just misses them. His first real game was in Kansas, and I dont think he felt any pressure. Can totally see why Josh wanted him to get coached by Hurley. I even think Josh might have been tougher on him, from the clip.
