I feel a bit of a traitor as I see Minnechaug tennis crushed Tantasqua two days ago. (Tanataqua is just down the road from my office and the superintendent was the super in my town when I was on the school committee.) But loyalty to fellow boneyarders comes first! Good luck to Haley.

Bummer - a bunch of us tried and I do wonder if some of us voted for the wrong Haley by accident.
But still a big honor to be on the short list for any award. I hope she (and her mom) can take that as a positive.

It is a slightly strange way to make this award - a popularity contest instead of a critical examination of qualifications. At least the other awards we voted for on this board were tallied as only one part of the actual selection process.

Yeah, the whole process is dumb. Among other things it favors kids from larger schools. Any poll that allows people to vote more than once is bogus. Remember the poll that was asking which school should be accepted into the B10 or another power conference and we were leading and than South Florida or some BS school used a program and jumped way ahead and they canceled the poll that we had been leading before the cheating?
