Geno has talked a lot about the importance of Stokes to UConn's success in the NCAAs, starting early in the season and again in the post-season. Is he talking about Stokes because it's important to have a capable back-up to spell Dolson (particularly if she gets in foul difficulty), or because he wants to play them together against certain opponents? I think it's both.

After last game, you can see how well they are stating to work together. Against PSU, with several players over 6'2", they will need both on the court. And certainly against Baylor, if they get that far, it would be beneficial to have both on the court against Griner and Williams. And I like the idea of doubling Griner with both Dolson and Stokes. I remember UConn men's first NC and they doubled Duke's big man with Voskul and Freeman.

Why a somewhat larger rotation in WNCAA's? Because when the fouls come at inconvenient moments, it is great to be able to put in a reliable sub - big, small or in between (?):)
