Doesn't NIL play a part in some players' decision whether to stay in college for an extra year (or two)? [I know this applies to a select few players] With the NIL $ that PB and Azzi are earning, can they turn down a scholarship at some point so that other recruits can be offered scholarships?

Well now, that's an interesting thought. I can't see that happening. The out-of-state rate for UConn is rather high, but probably chump change for Paige and Azzi. Still, I can't wrap my brain around that idea

Paige and Azzi might well be making more money staying at Uconn as compared to going to the WNBA. Uconn is a heck of a platform for marketing a brand. If I were Paige, I'd strongly consider it. Take the sure thing money and it just builds her brand further before going to the WNBA. It would maybe beat her body up less also. I'd seriously consider securing her future at Uconn for as long as she can.

Doesn't Paige get a year of eligibility in 25-6 between redshirting and covid? Or am I misunderstanding the interaction between covid and redshirt?
