That's the rumor floating around on the Pitt Rivals board. Needless to say, the board is in total meltdown mode. One of their key players transferred from Vandy, and hates Stallings. You couldn't make this stuff up.

did he know he might take the Pitt job? Could it be he was trying to avoid a conflict of interest? maybe he wants somebody else to make that decision to avoid a bad public relations nightmare

Checking in from Nashville w/ a closer look at Stallings. Stallings had lost the team and the fanbase. He didn' t even watch the tourney selection show w/ his team as he didn't think they would get a bid. His players had become numb to his screaming and antics.

Multigeneration season ticket holders were bailing. The AD did not want to pay the buyout so they were stuck w/ him. His hiring by Pitt is just crazy.

I have a feeling KO is going to go after Jeter. Oz has mentioned him multiple times as a possible transfer, and if Purvis really is going to go, we're going to need a veteran with some ability to score

Looks like Pitt's small fanbase just shrunk in size. I am glad I have no emotions invested in Pitt or Pittsburgh. This one may hurt Pitt bball for a while.
