OT: Pitt targeting Mark Schmidt (St. Bonaventure coach)

Wish we got him instead of Hurley.

Reverse mojo statement because my cup is too dented and won't be able to take any more kicks in the nads.

This will upset 99% of Panther-Lair.

Basically has Hurley's resume, but 10 years older.

Oh my god, this is the end of Pitt. Schmidt's last 3 years of success are down to one thing: Lucking into an exceptional PG (Jaylen Adams). He had one 20-win season and one postseason trip before that:

Dude's a decent enough Xs and Os coach, but he can not recruit, and he is going to get eaten alive in the ACC. RIP Pitt.

The early feedback from Pitt's paid board:

I have been a strong supporter of Heather Lyke up until about 20 minutes ago.
If this rumor is true, I want her gone. Tomorrow.
I am sincerely hoping this is just Schmidt's agent throwing out some misdirection to get his client a raise.

Hiring Stallings back would sit better with the fans
----------------------
The fact that he is being considered is concerning. Even if the job was completely toxic, he should not be considered.
----------------------
There is going to be a revolt unlike any this school has ever seen. And good lord if there is a massive buyout like with Stalling. I just do not understand the thinking.
I put the over/under on actual butts in the seats on game 1 at the Pete at 900.

Keep in mind, the paid board are the reasonable fans.

lmao apparently Schmitt wants to wait and see if the Xavier job opens up before dealing with Pitt. hahahaaha. what a garbage program. apparently the AD at Pitt doesn't have a good reputation of being easy to work with.

"wants to wait and see if the Xavier job opens up before dealing with Pitt"

Holy Sheet.

This is Pitts AAC moment. Continued long term obscurity or a change to relevance. With our league problems we have hope and a bright future, with their league problems they have the opposite.

UConn is shining bright, Pitt's already dim light is going out.

I'm lovin it!
